Weddings are special, magical, exciting and sometimes stressful. The marriage ceremony is the most important part of your big day. It is important that it reflects your beliefs and wishes and that you are comfortable with what is being said during your wedding ceremony. Our celebrants help you to plan your ceremony as well as conducting it on the day. We’re with you every step of the way offering help and advice to make sure that your marriage ceremony is as wonderful as it should be.
There is no such thing as a standard or typical wedding. All of our marriage ceremonies are written bespoke, ensuring that you are able to personalise your ceremony whilst fulfilling the legal requirements for marriage in Scotland.
From preparing the ceremony script to writing your vows, from choosing readings and music to enhancing your ceremony with symbolic acts such as handfasting, sand ceremonies or unity candles, we will be there to guide you.
Your wedding can contain religious or spiritual content if you desire. This can be something as small as using phrases such as “soulmate” and “Heaven” or something more substantial such as the inclusion of religious readings, verses, poetry, rituals or traditions.
We believe everyone has the right to marry the person they want to spend the rest of their life with. That’s why our ceremonies are available to all regardless of faith, belief, sexual orientation or gender.
As former registrars with many years of experience and expertise, our celebrants will support and work with you to create the unique and memorable day you deserve. They can, if desired assist you with your legal paperwork as we understand how stressful it can be when arranging one of the most important days in your life.
We only conduct legal marriages authorised by the Registrar General for Scotland in accordance with the Marriage (Scotland) Act 1977 and related statutes.
