Our celebrants reserve the right to refuse to conduct any ceremony where the requested content contravenes the Alba Society Statement of Belief. This includes instances where a request has been made for:
- the inclusion of any material of a prejudiced, bigoted or offensive nature.
- the inclusion of inappropriate humour or stunts/pranks. This is especially important in relation to marriages and funerals in order to ensure that the solemnity and dignity of the ceremony is maintained. While it is absolutely permissible to include humour within your ceremony, especially for more intimate, relaxed ceremony, it must be appropriate, should not be offensive in nature and should not disrupt the flow of the ceremony.
