We do not tolerate prejudice, sectarianism or incitement of hatred in any form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Interconnectedness &amp;\nCommunity:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe in the interconnectedness of humankind and that we all,\neach belong to a greater whole.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Equality:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe in the equality of all human beings regardless of age,\nrace, gender, sexuality, faith\/ religious belief, background, \u201cclass\u201d, societal\nor educational \u201cstatus\u201d and in the individual\u2019s and society\u2019s moral duty to\nseek to promote and uphold this equality for all.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Poverty:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe that everyone has the right to a decent standard of living and in supporting those who have been made vulnerable by the harmful effects of poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Religion, Science &amp; Humanity:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe that human freedom, individual conscience and unencumbered rational, scientific inquiry and religious faith\/ spirituality are not mutually exclusive concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Support and Advocacy:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe in helping those in need and supporting society\u2019s\nvulnerable in a spirit of love and kindness, in a non-judgemental and inclusive\nmanner.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Charity &amp; Acts of Kindness:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe in supporting charitable causes and in the importance of\ndonating time and practical assistance to charitable causes.&nbsp;&nbsp; We also believe in and promote acts of\nkindness in day to day living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Kindness to Animals:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe that animals are sentient beings, each with a unique\nconsciousness of their own, capable of the same array of emotions as human\nbeings.&nbsp; We believe animals experience\nfear, pain and suffering just as human beings do and should be treated in a\nkind and compassionate way at all times to prevent unnecessary suffering.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What does ALBA stand for?
